HCR, has reduced its absolute emissions by 21.5 percent on last year’s figures, according to its latest carbon footprint review.
The UK based relocation company is strengthening its drive to cut the greenhouse gases it produces and operate in a sustainable way. And the latest report from Carbon Footprint Ltd proves it is making considerable progress to becoming green.
“It is credit to everyone here at HCR – and their commitment to minimising our impact on the environment – that we have seen this significant reduction in our carbon footprint,” said George Dawes, Environmental Manager at HCR.
“Rapid climate change is the largest threat to human society worldwide. We take our carbon responsibilities as seriously as the rest of our business – and believe it is vital for companies like us to work towards a common goal of reduced emissions.”
According to Carbon Footprint Ltd, HCR has also reduced its absolute emissions by 39 percent since its baseline year, 2011.
“We are one of the UK’s largest providers of employee relocation and property-related services – so the nature of our business means that our own travel is dependant on our clients,” added George.
“There is still much we can do but there are measures we can take to minimise the impact of this on our overall footprint.
“We will continue our efforts and do all we can to make further reductions over the next 12 months and in the years to come.”
